Method 1: Disable and Enable the Network Interface Card

  1. To start, press Windows key + R. On the Run window type NCPA.CPL and hit ENTER.
  2. Open the NIC that is having the said issue. Whether it’s your WiFi or LAN, right-click on it.
  3. Choose Disable and wait for a minute or two.
  4. Now right-click on the NIC again and choose Enable this time.

  1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run window.
  2. Type in the NCPA.CPL and press ENTER.
  3. Double-click the Network Adapter that is experiencing the issue.
  4. On the new window, scroll down and look for the TCP/IPv4 and double-click on it again or choose Properties.
  5. Make sure the Obtain IP Address Automatically and the Obtain DNS server address automatically is ticked.
  6. If it is already ticked, click OK at the bottom. Then click OK again to close the other window.
  7. It should now obtain a new IP address.
  8. Check the internet by opening your web browser and visiting a website such as YouTube.
